Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #15 Taupe & Jill Stuart Jelly Eye N in Platinum Satin Swatches

Yesssssssss

Just as I had planned, I got my hands on Jill Stuart Jelly Eye N! I chose Platinum Satin which is a shimmery pink color that would work well as a quick swipe over my lids or as a base with my Jill Stuart Eyeshadow Palette!

Sorry about the smudges on the cap!

Also, I didn’t like Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in Warm Beige because it blends in with my eyelid/lash-line, making my lids very reflective and not “ooh~ pretty glitter” like Jill Stuart’s eyeshadows. Besides, I bought #13 Warm Beige in the first place to emulate SNSD’s Taeyeon & Jessica and Davichi’s Kang MinKyung’s eye makeup…

Previously an ulzzang (얼짱 = 얼굴 짱! = Face “Best/Amazing/Great!”), Davichi’s Kang MinKyung (강민경)

Eyelids and Nails! Interesting of her to mix fall nail polish colors…

ㅠㅠ But this aqua cream lacked the glitter that their makeup had. Instead, Warm Beige was overly shimmery without much depth to the colors of shimmer/glitter that it contained.

(I think I will be using the desk next to my computer for swatching LOL. Pretty accurate!!! This desk was bought at Ikea a couple of years ago…haha)

But now I will try SNSD’s Run Devil Run Makeup using my new Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #15 Taupe (:

Although her eyelids are of a different color, this is the idea I would follow.
Line my eyes, apply Urban Decay Primer Potion or NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base maybe? and apply the Aqua Cream in Taupe as the base-color and blend blend blend eyeshadows on top of it! (:

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in 13 Warm Beige

When I went out to buy my friend’s birthday gift, I also picked up one of Make Up For Ever’s new Aqua Creams while hitting up Sephora 🙂

I selected number 13, also known as Warm Beige. Applied on both the eyes and the cheeks, 13 has a very smooth and creamy texture. It blends well, but when I applied too much of 13, I looked somewhat tacky?

Overall I think this is a fun product to play with and wear time is amazing, but I don’t really like something about it. Perhaps its too warm for my skintone? The other day I played around with Shiseido’s Hydropowder Eyeshadows which became a powder once it dried down. I’m not too sure yet if I like colors that aren’t neutrals to pinks hehe 😛 as of yet, so when I swatched H11 Rose Tulle, I thought WHOAAAAA! 😀

H3 reminded me of a really sheer lipstick… So I’m not sure about this color, and whether I would look like I bruised myself? …Idk.

Goodbye to the 1st Half of June

Wow I have come to an end of my Junior Year.

Like upperclassmen before have said, Junior Year is definitely a challenging time, yet it seems to fly by. Now that I am at the end of my time as a Junior, I seem to reflect on what I’ve done successfully and what I’ve failed.

I am at a point where deciding who shall be the teachers I use for recommendations has brought my mood down but I am anticipating Field Day, my friend’s birthday party and the end to a relatively short year.

I must admit, this year felt the shortest in comparison to freshman and sophomore year :O Very strange.

Moreover, I made a lot more friends and developed more self-esteem and confidence even if I gained more weight. From freshman year, I gained 17lbs. due to exercising (which managed to tone specific muscle groups) and by not playing these days, I lost the muscle mass which, for the most part, converted to fat 😦 Except in my legs… I think.

Now here are some of my pictures that I have taken so far 🙂

Lemonade at Houston’s

Delicious freshly squeezed orange juice

LOOK AT ALL THAT FROTH! 😀

My mom, my friend, my other friend & her mom went to Houston’s to sort of celebrate my other friend’s 18th birthday. Although at school, we ate a cake and had a great time as this big group of Juniors, the 3 of us were secretly treated to an expensive and tasty meal at Houston’s haha. I hope to visit Houston’s with my friends more often next year!

BUBBA burger is so freaking amazing

AHHHH ITS MEAT! LOL
Hey look, funky-shaped burgers!

Cooking; it was still sizzling but the photo made the burgers look as though they were done cooking and lolling in their own oil but they were still cooking away…

Mom threw the buns in a separate pan to become firm, crisp and browned

완성! COMPLETE! 😀

Supposedly a Chanel quad; found in Mom’s drawer. Will ask sometime if it is real because I looked it up online and there is no palette called,

PRUNES 😦

Soon enough, I will post reviews of items in my makeup collection and new items such as my MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream in #13 which does not suit my skintone.

Wishlist02

I’ve been posting less lately because I’ve been on and off sick with a mild-fever and indigestion. Plus, there are some issues going on at school because these two mental girls did something… Although my side has won this round 🙂 My side of… 1…2…3…4…5+ girls!

Against their petty two. Meh, the administration has gotten involved and perhaps I’ll get to hear if the police really ARE involved as my mom had mentioned…?

REGARDLESS!

  1. Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream $15, 24 (1.25 oz tube, 2.75 oz jar) I’d like the tube version… Heck, if its good enough, my search for an “eye cream” is over, yo!♥
  2. Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream $22  (0.21 oz) in eyes&cheeks 3 Silver & 4 Snow & 11 Gold & 13 Warm Beige & 16 Pink Beige; lips&cheeks 5 Peach & 9 Coral; these would be beautiful to imitate more SNSD makeup! –as in taeyeon and sica’s. :D♥♥♥♥♥
  3. Illamasqua Liquid Metal $24 for copper&gold, $26 for silver and steel (0.05 oz) These are for body use, and that may be interpreted as not-my-face, or my entire body, head to toe. IDK
  4. Make Up For Ever Eyelash Strips $15 Including eyelash glue, there is SO MUCH VARIATION and MUFE provides great quality lashes for just $16! I am anticipating the day I get my hands on these 🙂
  5. La Mer The Hand Treatment $70 (3.4 fl oz) One of the more cheap and effective products produced by La Mer, the Hand Treatment is something I’d like to buy something from La Mer for my mother… maybe a late Mother’s Day gift? As I was busy studying so I could not cut my last class and buy her something. 😦 Although she said she was running out of her skincare stuff that she bought and began by buying a $85 Vitamin C serum thingy.
  6. Origins A Perfect World for Eyes $32 (0.5 fl oz) A nicely priced product from Origins, I was planning to get this eye cream before I saw the Yu-Be cream on Sephora’s website.
  7. Abercrombie & Fitch Quinn Romper (Blue) $68 I doubt I’ll buy this, but it’s so PRETTY!
  8. I really need a waxing kit (like this?) & something that will target my ingrown hairs (like this)
  9. NARS Multiple Tint $38 I’m not sure which one I’ll like most, but I know that I wouldn’t want to buy Turks&Caicos because I have no idea where I would use that on my face. Although I AM on the hunt for a great orange lipstick for both my friend and I. Most likely, it’ll be from YSL unless we’re going to save money/quality and going to MAC or MUFE. (Although the latter sounds more likely, as I am unsure if orange will be a trend for much longer…)

That’s all for today! OMG MAY IS ALMOST OVER!

Makeup & Nails like SNSD’s Jessica or Sica (제시카)

Moving along, this is Jessica or Sica (제시카 –real name, 정수연), also from SNSD.

A fan took this picture when the group performed “Run Devil Run” at a concert on April 24th. Unfortunately, SNSD has come to the end of their 4-month long promotion that started with Oh! 😥

Regardless, her outfit is all black with accessories that incorporates studs. Her nails are a tan-caramel color? Her eyelids have a wash of neutral tan/taupe/brown colors and she is wearing a natural pink lipgloss.

Note the well-defined eyebrows and minimal blush. Perhaps a bit of contouring work going on… after all it IS SNSD, they’ve got to look great! haha

And of course, to top off her look, she is wearing strip false eyelashes haha 🙂

I would suggest any natural falsies that lengthen or darken. If you need extra volume, apply mascara, however, mascara WILL deteriorate the falsies faster than just gluing on the falsies. Also, any drugstore brand is fine but keep in mind that the glue you use will be significant for ease, comfort and lasting-power!

  1. Make Up For Ever Eyelashes $15 – 156, 105, or 106. Comes with glue.
  2. Shu Uemura False Eyelashes $16 for the singles or the really long falsies to $18-25 for the others. $50+ for the more fancier styles. These do not come with glue, and do not have as many natural styles.

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! thank goodness!
